Personal Benefits of Volunteering

Newsletter: Child Find PEI distributes a Newsletter 6 times a year to all volunteers, community groups, policing agencies, and other missing children's organization.

Opportunities Conferences/ Workshops: Periodically, there is an opportunity for Child Find volunteers to attend conferences, seminars or training workshops. Such events may be sponsored by another agency, and costs for volunteers to attend will be absorbed by Child Find PEI.

Board of Directors: Child Find PEI is governed by a Board of Directors, all of whom are volunteers. If you have been a volunteer for Child Find PEI for over 3 months and would like to become a board of director, contact the Executive Director at 368-1678 for more information.

Casework: Case workers interact directly with families of missing children. They are trained to work closely with other caseworkers. Interest in becoming a caseworker should be given to the Executive Director.

Transportation: There is a passenger van available for volunteer use for Child Find business. When several volunteers are required to attend the same event, transportation may be provided.

Volunteer Recognition: Volunteers will be recognized for their contribution and commitment to Child Find PEI. Volunteer Recognition is a program in constant revision. Only you, the volunteer, can make this program a success. We rely on your input and feedback in determining the best way to reward you for a job well done. Some suggestions are certificates, gifts, and group events. We look forward to developing these with you.
